University of Johannesburg: Postgraduate Representative (2022-2023)
• Represent the postgraduate students by relaying any concerns or issues they have in staff meetings and assisting in administrative work requested by staff.
• Manage the LinkedIn and Twitter social media pages for the department and responsible for all content posted on these platforms.
• Responsible for ensuring all communication related to postgraduate students is delivered.
• Represented the postgraduate students in community engagement activities (eg, National Science week)
Bridge the Gap Geosciences Mentorship program(University of the Witwatersrand): Mentor (2020)
• Mentored a 2nd year geology student from the University of Johannesburg.
• Guided the student through their academic journey and provided support where necessary academically especially in geochemistry and mineralogy.
• Referred the student to university resources to further assist in their academics and overall mental health during their studies.
